The Military Leader at 100

I’m happy to share that today marks the 100th post from The Military Leader since its inception in March of this year! What started as a personal venue to capture thoughts and resources on leader development has evolved into an actively connected community of nearly 2000 leaders!

Thank You!!!

I want to personally thank you for taking the time, consideration, and mental energy amidst busy days to engage with and share the site. To date, you have done so over 42,000 times! And hundreds of you have signed up to receive the posts by email, which means the content is important enough that you don’t want to miss it. Awesome!

The Why

Developing content for The Military Leader, as well as connecting with leaders from all over the service, has revealed a few lessons that bear mentioning.

  1. Leader development is as relevant as ever and is the foundation that enables all other individual and unit success.
  2. Thousands of leaders out there truly want to develop their teams but don’t necessarily have the time to dig for resources or create products. (That’s what The Military Leader is for!)
  3. Today’s service members are hungry for, and will respond to, engaging leaders who create positive command climates despite the challenges of training and combat.
  4. We all have unique perspectives on leadership, which allows for an endless stream of insights and lessons to develop and share. The legacy of leadership talent depends on it.

Thank you again for making The Military Leader a part of your leadership journey. I hope you continue to make a decisive, positive influence in those around you.
